loveland pass sunset elopement

A romantic mountain pass elopement with an intimate sunset picnic.

Meghen and Michael wanted to celebrate their wedding somewhere they didn't get to experience often. Coming from Pennsylvania, they chose Colorado as the destination for their getaway in the mountains. They opted for a laid back approach to their wedding. We started at their Airbnb, which was tucked away in the foothills, and had all the privacy you could want in a mountain escape. We photographed them getting ready and sharing a first look in the quaint space.

Once we arrived at the ceremony, we setup a picnic, and they shared some snacks while taking in the scenery. After, their ceremony was short and very sweet. They exchanged their vows while the sun, like a spotlight, lit the dramatic mountains behind them. As the sun started its decent, we chased the light with valley views as the backdrop. And after the sun had faded away, we photographed them through blue hour at a remote alpine lake. Slow experiences like these are meant to be remembered.

Kind words from Meghen & Michael

110% worth every penny. Every detail was covered by Lauren and Travis, together they make the perfect balance of creativity and art. Extremely patient and willing to get to know the couple they’re working with so everyone is comfortable during the big day. Professional timely correspondences, any questions I had they answered and were able to think of things we normally wouldn’t. The experience was wonderful and the pictures are absolutely stunning, magazine worthy quality in every image.
