An Intentional, Multi-Day Wedding Celebration in Boulder, Colorado
Molly & Matt’s 3-Day Wedding Celebration in Boulder, Colorado
The art of gathering is something we talk about often—but it’s rare to witness it done with such intention and depth as Molly and Matt did for their wedding weekend in Boulder, Colorado.
In a world that moves fast, where wedding planning can often become a checklist of trends and traditions, Molly and Matt chose something different. They chose presence. Connection. Experience. They imagined a wedding that felt like a shared journey, a three-day celebration where their closest people could slow down, savor every moment, and leave with more than just memories—they left changed.

A Wedding Weekend Rooted in Meaningful Moments
When Molly and Matt first reached out to us, they shared a vision that immediately resonated with our hearts: a multi-day wedding experience centered around intentionality, community, and connection. With friends and family traveling from all over the world, they wanted to offer something more than just a single wedding day. They wanted to create space for relationships to grow, stories to be shared, and moments to unfold organically.
Their wedding weekend in Boulder was a testament to that vision.
Day One: A Welcome Dinner with Purpose
Guests arrived on a warm Colorado evening and were welcomed to a dinner gathering at Black Cat Farmstead in Longmont. Upon arrival, each guest received a beautifully curated book—personalized with their name—which served as the heart of the evening. Inside the book were prompts designed to spark thoughtful conversation on life, love, spirituality, and connection.
As a live traditional Jewish band played, everyone gathered in a circle to sing, talk, and share. Most guests had never met before, but by the end of the evening, those initial connections had blossomed into something deeper. When it was time for dinner, their guests found seats beneath the open sky, in the rustic barn and under the beautifully lit pergola, sharing stories over passed plates with people they’d just met. The evening echoed with laughter, clinking glasses, and the quiet magic of a new community being formed.
Day Two: Creativity and Community
The following morning began with a writing workshop—a beautiful and unexpected way to invite guests into creativity and reflection. It was less about performance and more about sharing honestly, a continuation of the conversation sparked the night before.
Later, the group ventured outdoors for a casual hike before heading to a rooftop dinner on Pearl Street in downtown Boulder. The view of the Flatirons set the stage for toasts, stories, and long conversations as the sun dipped behind the mountains. It was more than just a dinner—it was an opportunity to gather, reflect, and celebrate the journey leading up to the wedding day.
Day Three: The Wedding Ceremony and Spiritual Send-Off
On the third day, surrounded by those who had now become a tightly woven community, Molly and Matt held a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. Their vows were followed by another family-style meal, and conversations reflecting the days leading up to Molly and Matt’s wedding day. The evening wrapped up with a spiritual send-off. An intimate, candlelit reflection where guests were invited to simply sit in silence, absorb the day, and honor what they had all witnessed together.
No formal farewells. No grand exit. Just stillness. And when guests felt ready to leave, they left. The couple stayed until the very end, soaking in the sacred quiet of a day well spent.

How to Plan an Intentional Wedding Day
Feeling overwhelmed by all the wedding expectations? Here are three ways to keep your planning rooted in what matters most:
Start with your values. What do you want your guests to feel? What do you want to remember most? Let your answers shape the day.
Design experiences, not just timelines. Build in moments for connection: a shared meal, a quiet morning, a creative group activity.
Prioritize presence over perfection. The most meaningful moments are the ones that are felt—not forced.
Things to Include in a Multi-Day Wedding Weekend
If you’re planning a wedding weekend, here are some ways to create a thoughtful and connected guest experience:
Welcome Dinners or Backyard Feasts. Start the weekend off with a casual meal to gather everyone. This sets the tone for the celebration ahead.
Creative Group Activities. Think writing workshops, yoga sessions, hikes, or even live music. These shared moments create lasting memories.
Leave Room for Unstructured Time. Don’t overfill the schedule. Build in space for guests to rest, explore, or connect in their own way.
